The carnies have a restful night at the Whispering Willow. In the morning they notice the wizarding students outside the inn, frantically rummaging through their backpacks. It turns out that the scroll pilfered by Saulus was a modified Scroll of Teleportation that the young students were planning on using to return to the wizarding school in Longsaddle, the school and compound known as The Ivy Tower.

The carnies took pity on the frantic students, agreeing to escort them safely to Longsaddle. In return, the student Tavian said that he would get them past the magical security surrounding the Ivy Tower – a bridge you have to walk upside down, and a wall of force with hidden entrances. He also showed them to the Administrative Tower, a squat fat building seemingly made of steel, stone and glass. The ceiling and walls look like burnished sandstone. The floor is polished black concrete.

There was a glass and steel desk sitting before a pair of large opaque glass doors with a striking elven woman sitting behind it. When the carnies walked in, they see her lips move in a whisper. Her soft voice is amplified somehow and booms throughout the room, “Shirani, please come to reception.”
The glass doors behind her open, and a tall elven woman carrying a clipboard strides in, her high heels striking sparks from the concrete floor. Her skin is deep black. She introduces herself as Shirani Theoraja, and directs them down a long corridor to a large office. She opened the door and said “Mr. Harpell, your 5 o’clock has arrived, ten minutes early.”

Mr. Harpell is a short, pudgy man with balding frizzy hair and a friendly smile. He knows the carnies by name, and after indulging in some light sexism vis à vis Shirani, gets down to business.
He listens to their problem with the lycanthropes, and suggests that he can provide them with 100 scrolls of Remove Curse, as long as they do a favor for him. Namely, clear out an old wizards tower that’s been a pain in their neck for decades.
All he wants is the old wizard’s spellbook and staff. Anything else is their for the taking – they just have to survive all the puzzles and traps in the tower.
