Chief of the Triboar Guard
The Chief of the Town Guard, Eddie Stonebone, was waiting on the ground floor when the Carnies arrived with the rescued children. She was there with several guards to investigate the brutal slaughter of the innkeeper and his wife.
Eddie Stonebone took control of the rescued children. Burrel, her Captain of the Guard, told the Carnies that he knew of Kincade, and suggested looking for a wood elf named Asher Foxglove, as he was close friends with the halfling.
Before looking for the wood elf, the Carnies decided to investigate the high elf commune south of Triboar. On the path to the commune, the party was attacked by numerous elven archers that effectively blocked their way. The party retreated in the face of the surprisingly strong defence, and decided to search out Kincade through his friend, Asher Foxglove.
In the forest north of Triboar, the Carnies fought with Lysandrea and a group of her elven archers/werewolves. They found a polished iron tooth on a chain around Lysandrea’s neck. While examining it, they could hear a voice emanating from the tooth. It sounded like the voice of an elderly woman, calling for Lysandrea. Bowie did his best imitation of the slain elf leader. The voice replied, telling her to hurry on her way, but to skirt the mining town and just come straight up the mountain.
The Carnies found the wood elf encampment, and the friend of Kincade known as Asher Foxglove. Asher was very friendly. He helped the Carnies navigate their way through the elven forest and showed them the Smoking Mountain that Kincade set out to climb. Asher said that Kincade was madly in love with the elf Lysandrea, and believed that she had come under the influence of an evil entity. Kincade was going to see the hag who was rumoured to live atop the Smoking Mountain, to see if his suspicions were true and to seek the hag’s help.
