Jaegermeister Manor

At the Jaegermeister Manor, an elaborate ritual seemed to be underway. The party could hear chanting coming from the second floor, so immediately climbed up to a balcony to investigate. They were overheard and attacked by were-creatures who ran up from the ground floor.

Werewolves, wererats and wereboars attacked the party. After they defeated the monsters, the Carnies faced off against Jaegermeister, a werebear who was performing a summoning ritual. There was a dead human woman dressed as a druid lying in the center of a summoning circle. When Keeneye tried to move her, black tendrils of smoke rose from the circle, wrapped around the dead body, and dragged it to a different plane. The Carnies looted the bodies, finding wolf-paw medallions on many of them.

Giz, using his arcane knowledge, remembered that the wolf’s paw was an icon of the minor god Malar, also known as the beastlord. He is worshipped by hunters who relish the brutality of the kill, lycanthropes, and other evil creatures. The Carnies burned the hunting lodge to the ground before returning to Triboar.

At the Loose Goose, there was a singalong for the town’s children, with about 20 kids sitting around while musicians sang them songs. The man who called himself Kincade said that it was to cheer the kids up, while keeping them safe.

The next morning, the Carnies were invited to a fancy elven wedding celebration by the bride herself, Lysandrea. She had heard of their work at the hunting lodge, and the high elf claimed that she wanted to celebrate their success. The party purchased fancy outfits and headed out for an evening of fun.
